Besides 'playing' the market, I've been considering going to one. Not to buy, but to have my own stall. I haven't done this before, so maybe should start small. I've booked a spot at this. I'll be at the Malvern event. Yes, three big fabulous days of designer goodness!
Am I crazy? The thing is, I have absolutely no idea of exactly what or how much of anything to make... I'll have a range of mix packs, some selected fabric by the metre, a few baskets, cushions. Now, what else to make?
Yesterday, during a few precious kid-free hours, I started to make things. I now have half a cot quilt. The top half. I was hoping to be able to show off a finished product, but that will have to wait until the next time I'm kid free.
I just need to get cracking or it's going to be very lonely...

With all the hits the Aussie dollar has had recently, I've updated my etsy shop to reflect the changes. I was just thinking I should do this when I noticed that another has had the same thoughts! So prices are now reflecting the tumble the Aussie dollar has taken! This is a bit of a windfall for any US crafters! My main shop is always in AUD so nothing changes there... boring really...

We spent the weekend at the beach and enjoyed good company, food and wine. Lovely beach weather, though the water too cold for this Queenslander!! Would have been perfect had it not been for the dead bee that still somehow managed to get it's sting into me! Who'd have thought the beach would be covered in bees? I'll never get used to Victorian Beaches... Have my foot up. On one of these. I think I'm the kid with the wiggly mouth.

Our little pip is having an extra long sleep today so I have had time to have my own 'photoshoot'! These baskets are now in the shop. Pack them full of goodies for a picnic, knitting or just use them as a place to stash things! What ever you like, these just keep it all together!

Sometimes I think I'm maybe to open.. you know, perhaps I should hold my cards closer to my chest... especially when I'm new to this interview business! The lovely Pip at Meet me at Mikes has a whole week of interviews with crafty fabricky types, me included! Did I say too much and spoil the mystery? I dunno, but I don't think I had any cats in the bag anyway...

I just picked up my November copy of Home Beautiful and was just a *bit* delighted to see the little article they have written about pippijoe! I am very keen to see the fabrics used in more interior schemes like the ones in this lovely mag! If only my house looked like it came from these pages...

Nice surprise package in the mail today! I found a metre of the Counting Sheep design I did for the Designers for Sprout Design range. I'm trying to decide what I should do with it. The fabric is perfect for cushions or bed linen, but I think I might stretch this on a frame in the kids' room!

It's such an honour to have my cushions included in Real Living Magazine's November issue. They were featured in an article entitled Best of the Best Cushions. Wow! Real Living is full of design and decorating ideas and I'm thrilled that pippijoe has made it onto their pages!
Waterhens in pics above and nests in pic below.
I've recently made some large (60 x 60cm) cushions from the nest fabric which (can I say?) look fantastic on my couch! I've just got to take a few pics and get them up on the site for you to see!

I'm joining in meet me at mikes share your stash. I just had to share this one bought for my sister's first 'big bed'. She is 32 and the doona cover is yet to be made. It was passed on to me for my son's first big bed and is still stashed away. Family tradition. I'm not sure who designed it, there are no selvedge marks at all! For scale I have placed a matchbox car on the top left of the pic. Undoubtedly I will pass this on to another child for another big bed, as is.
